advanced features and options while offering targeted performance at a very competitive price.
System On Modules
Advantech System On Modules (Computer On Module) is a series of reliable and widely used CPU modules. Advantech System On Module series supports fanless operation in very small form factor while supporting CPUs ranging from GX1 to Intel Pentium M. Scalable SOM solutions are available: COM-Express, ETX, XTX, SOM-144 and RISC-based SOM. Not only does the System On module allow quick design turnover, it also provides the benefits of easy installation, maintenance and upgrades.
Advantech COM Design Support Services help customers to reduce the time and work involved with designing new carrier boards. We handle the complexities of technical research and greatly minimise the development risk associated with carrier boards.
Highly-expandable PICMG 1.3 Platforms
Advantech’s systematic approach to PICMG 1.3 (also called SHB Express) leads the industry. These complete PICMG 1.3 solutions include server class and desktop class System Host Boards, the largest selection of backplanes, a full line of chassis and support of all peripherals. These solutions feature PCI Express technology with scalable I/O bandwidth of twenty times previous standards. Designed with system integration in mind, Advantech PICMG 1.3 solutions are the most expansible for industrial slot-hungry applications.
The PICMG 1.3 Platform is ideal for medical application that require high-performance computing power for image process like Ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, CT, PET and Nuclear; massive I/O slots for a total 10 GB/s bandwidth is also for real-time image capture, transfer and display.
Advantech’s PICMG 1.3 design policy provides clear purchasing guidelines that ensure system compatibility. Customers can easily recognize specific solutions based on product naming. Customers requiring server grade solutions may choose the “PCE-7000” series of SHBs and backplanes. For desktop class platforms, customers can select the “PCE-5000” series of SHB and backplanes.
