The thermal imager optris PI is a fixed infrared camera with an outstanding state of the art cost-performance-ratio. The camera is connected to a PC with an USB 2.0 and can immediately be used after connection. The corresponding software optris PI Connect displays the captured temperature data as a thermal image. The software also covers the remote control of the camera.   Infrared cameras

The infrared camera optris PI is based on a small uncooled bolometer (UFPA) with 160 x 120 pixel and a pixel size of 25µm x 25μm. The camera delivers thermal images in real time with a frequency of 120Hz. Measurement results can be collected and filed as snap-shots or video frequencies. It is possible to detect smallest temperature differences at an object due to the very good thermal sensitivity (NETD 0,08 K with 23° FOV) of the camera.

In a ready to use mode, the cameras weight is only 250g, including the lens and cable. Additionally she is one of the smallest thermal imager in the world (dimensions: 45mm x 45mm x 62mm). In combination with a tablet PC the camera can find use as a mobile solution for preventive maintenance or construction thermography. The optris PI therefore covers the existing gap between portable infrared snap shot cameras and pure fixed devices.
