Based in Tucson of Arizona, RMD is engaged in the development of advanced products for airway management.
The firm’s SuperNO2VA is a complete noninvasive nasal PAP ventilation system, which will be used to treat respiratory insufficiency from collapse of the airway during or after sedation, or during the intubation process.
The system will open the upper airway, helping to maintain patency and effectively ventilate the patient.
SuperNO2VA will help to reduce the likelihood of respiratory compromise through perioperative hypoxemia, specifically with high risk patients who may present with difficult airways.
The system can also be used to pre-oxygenate, relieve UAO, maintain ventilation and rescue ventilate, as well as for intra-oral procedures.
SuperNO2VA, which can be used for peri-operatively, allows for the use of positive pressure within the mask to help maintain an open airway that allows for continuous nasal oxygenation and ventilation throughout sedation.
Vyaire Medical president and CEO Dave Mowry, Vyaire said: "The acquisition of Revolutionary Medical Devices allows Vyaire to bring another clinically-differentiated airway management solution to the medical device marketplace.
“RMD's SuperNO2VA nasal PAP ventilation system enables anesthesiologists to provide oxygen to sedated patients in a more controlled and noninvasive way, and is exactly the type of unique and thoughtfully-designed product we want to bring to our customers."
Based in Chicago, Vyaire Medical provides respiratory diagnostics and ventilation, as well as anesthesia delivery and patient monitoring solutions.
