The licensing agreement with Stryker, which has been reached in October 2010, covers US Patent No. 5,931,839.
In 1995, TriMed had developed the Radial Pin Plate and Ulnar Pin Plate, which stabilizes the small bone fragments of the fractures and enables early mobilization of the injured wrist
The plates are used in treating distal radius (wrist) fractures without the need for a post-surgical cast.
TriMed owner David Medoff said they are pleased to have reached this agreement and will continue to concentrate on developing products for upper and lower extremities.
