The new software offers a two-directional interoperability platform for Medfusion 4000 syringe pumps.

The new version enables bi-directional integration for electronic medical records (EMR) systems that are compatible with Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE).

The smart pump programming addition will enable to send a clinician order directly to the Medfusion 4000 pump,

It will allow nurses to validate the programmed information with reduced manual work, and keep them in control.

The PharmGuard interoperability software, which was released in 2015, already enables wireless communication of infusion data directly into patient records in the hospital’s EMR system.

It increases documentation accuracy, and enhances patient safety by reducing manual data entry errors.

Infusion pump alarms will be sent to hospital alarm management systems to alert clinicians.
