Scivita Medical and Boston Scientific have entered into a cooperation and distribution agreement for the former’s single-use Percutaneous Choledochoscope in China.
Both companies have agreed to collaborate on commercialisation, marketing, and promotion of the device in the Chinese market.
The device is part of Scivita Medical’s portfolio of reusable endoscopes, single-use videoscopes, and related systems and apparatus.
The Chinese medical device manufacturer said that the collaboration is expected to increase the global market presence of the single-use Percutaneous Choledochoscope. The partnership will also enable the use of the videoscope in more hospitals and patients in China.
The single-use videoscopes have covered various clinical departments at high risk of cross-infection, including, respiratory, gynaecology, urological surgery, and hepatobiliary surgery, the medical technology company said.
Scivita Medical said that several of its products are already approved in US, China, European Union (EU), Japan, and other countries and areas.

The collaboration with Boston Scientific is said to further accelerate Scivita Medical’s commercialisation and footprint in the single-use videoscope market and demonstrates the comprehensive product line-up of the latter.
The Chinese firm is aiming to boost its innovation, improve market penetration via unique products, and establish itself as the go-to company for physicians and patients all around the world in the future.
Established in 2016, Scivita Medical is engaged in the production of minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment solutions. The company is focused on research, development, and commercialisation of medical endoscopes and related products.
