The agreement provides Oridion with the opportunity to further expand into the Japanese market with its line of Microstream capnography monitoring products.

Under the agreement, IMI is expected to bundle sales of Capnostream20 Smart Capnography monitors including IPI with their ventilators. The combination will be offered as SafetySet, a solution to improve patient safety and make a clinical difference in patient care.

IMI expects to begin selling the Capnostream20 monitors and patented FilterLine etCO2 sampling products immediately into the Critical Care environment and Home Care areas throughout Japan.

IMI president Kazumasa Tsumuga said that the collaboration will help improve the safety for all the patient populations in all clinical settings in Japan.

Oridion Capnography president Gerry Feldman said that the SafetySet package combining Capnostream capnography with ventilators sold by IMI is a pioneering strategy that will provide added safety for patients in hospitals throughout Japan.
