The company is exhibiting software at the International Vision Expo West, which is being held from 15 to 17 September.

It can be used to assist in scleral lens fitting by enabling visualization and mapping of the central corneal clearance (CCC).

The CCC is a crucial measurement that enables to know how well the lens rests on the eye.

A scleral lens is a large contact lens, which rests on the white portion of the eye (sclera). It is used to correct refractive errors in patients with irregular corneas, manage ocular surface disease such as dry eye.

In addition, the lens can be worn by athletes who require enhanced visual acuity

Vault Mapping enables to create CCC assessment map, while the clearance pattern will be used to determine whether the lens is tilting or fitting improperly.

The company has also introduced new AngioVue imaging system to the optometry market.

AngioVue system offers essential OCT, as well as OCT angiography (OCTA) that rapidly visualizes retinal microvasculature non-invasively without the use of injection dye.

It will provide optometrists with information about retinal vascular structures that can be incorporated with other imaging results to create a complete picture of retinal health.

Optovue global sales vice president John Hawley said: "We are extremely pleased to launch our advanced AngioVue Imaging System for optometry and introduce Vault Mapping for our iSeries systems at the Vision Expo West.

"Vault Mapping is a new feature that adds to an already strong set of anterior segment measurement tools.”
