Dome S6c is the newest member of the NDS Surgical Imaging’s S-series product family. The diagnostic display has a native resolution of 3280×2048 and can be utilized as a single 6MP display or in dual 3MP bezel-free format.

The 6MP diagnostic display offers grayscale and color imaging, 30-inch widescreen viewing, and 170° viewing angle. The device offers 800cd/m² high-bright LED technology and 1000:1 contrast ratio.

It is ideal for viewing a wide range of medical imaging modalities including computed radiography, digital radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, positron emission tomography/ computed tomography, ultrasound, and 3D volume rendering.

NDS Surgical Imaging president and general manager Bill Carrano said that the Dome S6c is considered to be the next generation of 6MP technology available to users.

"It is a new solution that addresses existing industry-wide issues by eliminating cooling fans, slimming the profile, and significantly reducing the weight to allow widespread use on motorized review stations," Carrano added.

According to NDS Surgical Imaging, the Dome S6c eliminates protective glass, thereby avoiding unwanted specular reflections or blurred images.

The Dome S6c widescreen color 6MP diagnostic display features a hidden front sensor, which performs automatic daily DICOM conformance testing, and allows on-demand testing from remote locations via the globally accessible DomeAccess secure web portal.

Internal characterization data keeps the display in perfect DICOM compliance for the life of the product, with no further field calibration necessary.

The Dome S6c display comes with a five-year standard warranty, and a five-year backlight warranty.
