The RFSuite system uses RFID technology to track patients, staff and equipment and to provide accessory and patient identity verification for treatment.
The RFSuite software, RFTrak, provides a snapshot of where people and items are located in a facility in real time, improving workflow and reducing patient wait time.
CIVCO CTO Geoffrey Dalbow said RFSuite and other CIVCO solutions are providing the clinical community with tools to enhance safety and ensure the effective delivery of radiation therapy.
"We are collecting compelling clinical data on the use of RFID technologies to reduce errors and improve radiation oncology workflow at both Moores Cancer Center in San Diego and Hospital San Raffaele in Milan, Italy," Dalbow said.
