The LabChip Dx system features diagnostic identification, scoring and reporting software.
The system uses its microfluidics technology which enables in sample processing for discovery and validation of molecular and companion diagnostics.
The system can analyze large numbers of multiplex samples using minimal sample volume, offer automatic pipetting, and avoid further purify or dilute diagnostic PCR products.
The instrument has been jointly developed by Caliper and Seegene.
Caliper Life Sciences president and CEO Kevin Hrusovsky said they expect LabChip Dx will bring benefit to European clinical diagnostic laboratories by improving overall lab economics and reducing manual labor requirements.
"The CE IVD mark makes the LabChip Dx available for European diagnostic labs and completes an regulatory step for running tests from the Seeplex menu of diagnostic assays from Seegene," Hrusovsky said.
