The new DR 800 X-ray room with Dynamic Musica, which will be introduced at RSNA 2016, is a multi-purpose solution that can be used in radiography, fluoroscopy and advanced clinical applications.

The multi-purpose digital radiography suite has been designed for radiologists to meet the growing demand for fluoroscopy.

Agfa’s DR 800 solution can be used in a range of radiographic exams such as skeletal, thorax, abdomen and weight bearing.

It can also be used to carry out fluoroscopy exams, including barium studies, arthrograms, cystograms, myelography and catheter placement.

Dynamic Musica is a multi-scale image processing solution that holds capacity to process moving images, as well as helps in veiling glare and dose reduction.

According to the company, the DR 800 solution provides enhanced radioscopy and fluoroscopy in supine and upright positions.

Featuring 180cm SID and auto positioning presets, the customizable DR 800 can be installed with high-frequency fluoroscopy generator options of 50 kW, 65 kW or 80 kW.

The DR 800 also includes EasyStitch technology that enables to carry out full leg full spine exams, and LiveVision technology that allows for accurate dose-free remote positioning by providing a first person camera view of the patient.

Agfa HealthCare imaging division vice president Louis Kuitenbrouwer said: "High-quality imaging supports informed diagnosis and treatment decisions, critical for value-based care.

"With the DR 800, we are using our experience and innovation to create a versatile solution – a 'jack of all trades' that can be configured to match the user's specific needs.”
