PENTAX Medical, a division of Japanese med-tech company HOYA, has secured CE mark approval for PENTAX Medical INSPIRA video processor, and i20c video endoscope series.
The company has designed the new INSPIRA video processor to be compatible with its latest endoscope models, along with the new-generation i20c video endoscope.
It combines advanced functionalities in a single plug-and-play solution with intuitive usability, to help physicians achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
The video processor is controlled through an advanced, customisable touch panel, and is equipped with image enhancement functionalities and 4K image processing.

PENTAX Medical INSPIRA is said to provide enhanced image quality when used with any of the company’s medical endoscope.
The video processor is compatible with both connection types, and enables upgrade of the legacy endoscopy portfolio to the latest imaging standards, said PENTAX.
It enables the current endoscope generations to provide image quality that meets high-class clinical needs, extending the lifecycle of endoscopes.
PENTAX has designed the i20c generation of endoscopes to provide healthcare professionals with enhanced ergonomics, along with high-quality imaging.
The endoscopes will provide physicians with superior manoeuvrability, angulation, and handling, combined with further improved vision.
Its unique control body and light-weight connector are designed to further optimise the endoscopic workflow said the medical device company.
