Caregility has launched a new range of artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced hybrid care solutions developed on its Caregility Cloud virtual care platform.
The US-based telehealth company said that the enhancements lower the risks associated with technology investments for hospitals and health systems.
They give the flexibility to select health AI applications as per their needs and environment without adding more IT silos that could disturb workflow and clog networks, Caregility said.
Caregility Cloud is a telehealth platform that modernises care delivery with advanced video and audio streaming technologies.
It utilises operational AI to virtually monitor telehealth endpoint systems and start self-healing commands if the equipment is not responding properly.
Using the platform, the telehealth company has built clinical programmes like virtual nursing, tele-intensive care unit (ICU), continuous patient observation, and virtual visits.

Caregility said that the announced AI enhancements are intended to support overburdened caregivers and administrative teams to cope with the rising costs and increasing demand.
Additionally, the hybrid care solutions feature a computer vision application that analyses live video streams of patients and their surroundings to monitor movement and changes that can result in situations like falls or self-harm.
The telehealth company said that a contactless monitoring system, which is part of the solutions, records patient vital signs and detects changes in breathing patterns, heart rate, and movement that can indicate physiological events such as awakening from sleep or an induced coma.
Furthermore, the solutions also include an ambient clinical intelligence algorithm that creates documentation from live clinician and patient conversations for the patient’s electronic health record.
