Since 2005, we have offered series production of micro- and nanostructured surfaces. We are a global series manufacturer of microstructured and nanostructured roll imprint films, injection molded parts as well as injection molded inserts and functional surfaces. The company is a pioneer in lithographic production of micro- and nanostructures on large, seamless surfaces and replication by roll nanoimprint processing, injection molding, electroforming. Nano- and microstructures open up new analysis and therapy possibilities in medical technology or they improve already existing methods. Applications can be found in microfluidics (lab-on-a-chip and lab-on-a-film), the generation of aerosols (atomizer nozzles), the filtration of substances and liquids (filters and membranes), and in cell analysis or the cultivation of cell cultures (titer plates). Nozzles & Membranes

In production of medical aerosols, but the droplet size and the narrowest possible droplet size distribution are crucial. When making micro-nozzles, temicon uses LIGA-technology to meet these important requirements. Burr-free production of nozzle plates makes it possible.

Wafer level optics

Replication by the UV imprint process process at wafer level allows cost-efficient production of large quantities. Above all, microlens arrays (MLA) with spherical or aspherical lens geometries are used for 3D sensors in the field of application for medical scanners according to the structured light principle.

Titerplates

temicon produces customer-specific titer plates with microstructured surface for uses such as cell analysis, in vitro diagnosis, cell separation or improved cell cultivation. Our series production of microtiter plates is done with silicon casting or injection molding.

Microstructured injection molding tools

temicon offers tool development, prototyping and production of small series to series of 100,000+ parts that are cost-efficiently made by injection molding (lab-on-a-chip) or UV roll nano-imprint (lab-on-a-film).

Bionic structures

Functional surfaces that are microbiologically effective. temicon produces nano- and microstructures, e.g. based on the lotus flower. The replicated lotus effect on the microstructured surface can prevent the attachment of bacterial microorganisms. Or as structures similar to shark skin (riblet structures) that reduce drag on airplanes, ships and windmills. A moth’s eye has nanostructures on its surface that are used for antireflective treatment of surfaces. Nature provides a variety of solutions in the field of micro- and nanostructured surfaces.

Microfluidic Chips

Microfluidic structures are used in medical technology and allow investigation or control of the tiniest quantities of fluid, within the nano-liter range. Producing micro-channels and cavities often pushes conventional machining technology to its limits. As a producer of lithographically manufactured microfluidic structures, temicon offers the advantages of tiny, highly precise structure dimensions, low roughness values and minimal edge rounding. Due to worldwide demand for faster, more cost-efficient diagnostics, use of microfluidic chips has become ever more important in recent years.
