TKA’s laboratory water purification systems include electrodeionization (EDI), reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration technologies.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Laboratory Equipment president Thomas Loewald said the addition of TKA’s comprehensive offering of laboratory water purification systems to their portfolio of laboratory equipment and consumables enables them to meet their customers’ growing needs for versatility and productivity in their laboratories.

"The demand for ultrapure water, in particular, is driven by the ever-increasing sensitivity of analytical instruments used in life science research," Loewald said.

The Niederelbert location will become a center for R&D and manufacturing of laboratory water purification systems and will be integrated into Thermo Fisher’s Laboratory Products and Services segment.
