Patient monitoring devices provider Caretaker Medical has incorporated VivaLNK’s FDA approved ECG Patch to its Caretaker wearable patient monitor platform.

The wireless patient monitoring platform measures continuous, uninterrupted blood pressure, respiration rate, and other hemodynamic parameters, in real-time using a simple finger cuff.

The company said that its monitoring device provides a comprehensive view of hemodynamic health.

In addition, the platform enables clinicians to remotely view patient data using the Caretaker App, or the CaretakerCloud Remote Monitoring Portal, or through data integration with other monitoring platforms.

In May 2019, the company has added HealthSaaS HIPAA-compliant cloud platform capabilities to its platform for remote patient monitoring platform tele health, and hospital-to-home patient engagement.

VivaLNK has offered its medical wearable ECG sensors solution to Emory University for a clinical study of assessing autonomic function in predicting coronary artery disease (CAD) and its relationship to depression and long-term outcomes, in August 2019.

Caretaker’s monitoring platform and VivaLNK’s ECG Patch are FDA approved

The company said that both its Caretaker wireless monitor and VivaLNK’s ECG Patch were FDA approved and CE Mark certified. The devices are available for purchase from Caretaker Medical and its distributors.

Caretaker Medical president and CEO Jeff Pompeo said: “Our patented Pulse Decomposition Analysis method of non-invasive hemodynamic measurements like continuous beat-by-beat Blood Pressure provides clinicians with a view of the patient’s mechanical heart function, and VivaLNK’s reusable ECG Patch reveals the status of the patient’s electrical heart function.

“Combined, the Caretaker monitoring platform now provides a seamless view of both electrical and mechanical heart health, including waveforms, in a completely wire-free, wearable form factor that doesn’t inhibit patient mobility.”
