ClearCanvas RIS and PACS recently received FDA 510(k) clearance, which allows for commercial distribution of the ClearCanvas software.
ClearCanvas plans to release a commercial version of their PACS software suite in Q2 2011 with the commercial release of their RIS following in Q4 2011.
The company said additional versions of the Workstation are already planned for 2011, product upgrades and technical support are included free of charge during the first license year.
ClearCanvas president and founder Norman Young said they also recognize how important it is to create a vibrant commercial ecosystem by bringing products to different markets around the world.
