Sorensen will also oversee the Canadian activities of Siemens Healthcare.

He will succeed Randy Hill, who has served as interim CEO.

Sorensen will be responsible for leading the marketing, sales, service, and support functions for Siemens Healthcare in the US across the entire Healthcare portfolio including medical imaging, therapy, healthcare information technology and laboratory diagnostics.

He is a practicing neuroradiologist and active researcher with experience in clinical care, clinical trials and translational research.

Sorensen is currently serving as professor of Radiology and Health Sciences & Technology at Harvard Medical School; faculty member of the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology; and co-director of the AA Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
