The company noted that the US patent no. 6,612,985 entitled "Method and System for Monitoring and Treating a Patient" includes method, system and computer processor that focuses on tracking compliance with caregivers’ treatment guidelines for home patients.

The compliance will be based on a patient’s current assessment of diagnosed conditions, as well as on data about each of the diagnosed conditions from the remotely located patient.

CJPS Medical Systems president C Sevrain said the company has licensed breakthrough technology to enhance, protect and support VitalPoint HOME.

"Our products, built in Michigan and in Arizona, provide disruptive technologies, with unparalleled value, especially for organizations looking at reducing hospital readmissions, providing better care to chronically-ill patients, improving their efficiency, and generating new revenues," Sevrain added.

VitalPoint HOME monitor helps to measure blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, weight, glucose level, prothrombin time and ratios.

It also allows to measure temperature, fluid status and offers electrocardiogram data, as well as allows live audio video streaming between caregivers and their patients.

In addition, the system allows caregivers to remotely monitor patients’ conditions or alerts using their own computer, IPad, tablets or smart phone.
