The EverFlex stent has been developed to treat long, complex and highly calcified lesions.
The Entrust delivery system is said to deploy the EverFlex stent to re-open narrowed (stenotic) regions of the superficial femoral and proximal popliteal arteries, which supply blood to the legs.
It offers control and precision with its 5 F triaxial delivery system, as well as with other features, including 0.035 guidewire compatibility, longer catheter lengths, and a broad stent matrix.
Medtronic Aortic and Peripheral Vascular division peripheral vascular general manager and vice-president Brian Verrier said: "Based on physician feedback and procedural observation, we developed an easy to use one-handed delivery system to increase the stent delivery options in our portfolio.
