The event will take place from 27 November to 2 December in Chicago, Illinois.

Fujifilm will showcase SonoSite SII, SonoSite X-Porte, SonoSite iViz and Vevo MD ultrasound solutions at the event.

The SonoSite SII ultrasound system, which can be used across multiple hospital environments, has been developed for regional anesthesia, vascular access and trauma applications.

It features DirectClear technology, which is a patent-pending process that is available on the rP19c and rC60xi transducers.

SonoSite X-Porte portable system integrates Extreme Definition Imaging (XDI) beam-forming technology that reduces artifact clutter and enhances contrast resolution.

It also features customizable touchscreen interface and real-time educational visual guides and tutorials.

Suitable for field use and telemedicine, SonoSite iViz offers access to learning resources and patient information. It can store exam findings, submit reports, and consult with remote providers for near real-time assessment.

Vevo MD is claimed to be the first ultra high frequency ultrasound system for clinical use. Suitable for imaging infants, the system can detect tiny suspicious lesions and monitor subtle changes in blood flow in major arteries.

Fujifilm Sonosite senior vice president and chief medical officer Dr Diku Mandavia said: “We designed Fujifilm SonoSite products to meet the needs of a wide range of point-of-care scenarios including some of the most demanding.

“Clinicians know they can trust Fujifilm technology when it comes to practical day-to-day use but also as tools that help them make rapid lifesaving decisions wherever they are—in the ED, OR or out in the field.”
