The company will showcase the new Synapse VNA solution at the RSNA 2016 in Chicago, US. The event will take place from 27 November to 2 December.

Synapse VNA is an application-neutral and scalable content management system, which helps in secure storage and access of all patient imaging contents across the enterprise.

The latest version features advanced workflow tools, including EPIC’s Haiku and Canto modules. They can be integrated with Synapse VNA Connext Mobile for secure capture of point-of-care visible light data in context at the touch of a button.

The diagnostic images and patient visit metadata can be automatically passed into Synapse VNA by Epic users, with no separate launch of the Connext Mobile application.

Images are stored directly to the VNA via Connext Mobile without need to log into multiple applications or navigate patients outside of Epic.

Synapse VNA Version 6.2 also features new streamlined workflow tool, which helps to configure and customize enterprise system to meet all their departmental needs.

TeraMedica division vice president Greg Strowig said: “Fujifilm is the undisputed leader in the VNA category and our best-in-class solution keeps getting better.

“Once again, we’ve taken the technology to the next level with our latest version of Synapse VNA featuring new streamlined workflow tools that allow for truly nimble EHR mobile application integration as well as user customization.”
