Carestream’s RIS is designed for collecting or tracking receipt of Stage 1 data (including an active patient medication list and a number of ambulatory clinical quality measures).

In addition to collecting Stage 1 data, Carestream’s RIS provides embedded voice recognition, critical results reporting, centralized patient scheduling and management reports that track patient referrals by physician and modality reading by each radiologist.

Containing a native ACR peer review feature, Vue RIS tracks reviews of an original diagnosis by a second radiologist and meets requirements set by the American College of Radiology.

Vue RIS also provides specialized auditing/ tracking functions for mammography exams that enable organizations to become MQSA certified without the need for a separate mammography information system.

Carestream Health digital medical solutions president Diana Nole said Vue RIS v.11 provides a complete EHR that allows radiologists and other specialists to efficiently manage imaging workflows while simultaneously capturing and reporting the data required to satisfy Stage 1 requirements for electronic health records.

"With our Vue RIS physicians can enhance patient care while achieving operational efficiencies and reduced expenses," Nole added.
