Microlaparoscopy or single incision surgery offers surgeons a mechanism to perform minimally invasive procedures without significant changes in technique.
This technology can be utilized for an entire procedure or as an adjunct to existing approaches that require extra access without adding to larger incisions and the related risks.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
In May 2010, EON Surgical was founded under the auspices of the Rad BioMed Accelerator with the aim to become provider of solutions for next-generation scarless surgery.
