Japanese medical technology company Olympus has introduced its new-generation procedure room visualisation and integration solution, Easysuite ES-IP system, in the US.
Olympus said that its Easysuite ES-IP system is a modular, scalable, workflow-based solution that serves as the company’s new digital hub at its core.
The new-generation solution provides the flexibility to run current software applications and potential future Olympus multi-speciality applications.
It supports the software modules added over time, along with the hardware expansion, to provide an AVoIP solution for the digital OR and catheterisation lab, said Olympus.
Olympus vice president and customer solutions business unit global head Shawn LaRocco said: “We are excited to bring the power of the Olympus Digital Hub and our digital strategy to the core of our flagship Easysuite System.

According to the Japanese medical technology company, ES-IP offers several benefits.
The scalable solution comes with a small footprint of hardware to support growing customer needs and serves as a digital hub to power current, potential future apps.
It is designed to be vendor-neutral and integrate past, present, and future devices.
ES-IP can easily integrate images and videos with the VaultStream server to many major EHR vendors, MIMPS/PACS and VNAs.
It supports multiple specialities and several types of medical procedures to help improve operational efficiencies, including 4K video routing with IP-based fibre optic video switching.
Also, the system facilitates interoperability between medical devices, allowing clinicians to display and capture various visual sources such as live endoscopes and vitals.
Olympus said that the launch of the Easysuite ES-IP OR integration system is part of its broader digital strategy, which also includes the acquisition of Odin Vision.
Odin Vision is a cloud-AI endoscopy startup with a portfolio of commercially available detection and diagnostic solutions and a pipeline of cloud-enabled applications.
