RODO Medical, a California-based dental device company, has entered into a strategic partnership with The Aurum Group to launch Rodo Digital Prosthetics (RDP) in the US.

The new digital prosthetics business is planned to operate as a dental laboratory, and combines unique capabilities from both the companies.

It will integrate RODO’s unique technologies with Aurum’s Core 3D centres, to provide digitally enhanced prosthetic solutions including SmileLoc, SmileClip and SmileKey.

Core 3D centres is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurum, focused on digitally enhanced manufacturing and servicing of dental protheses.

In relation with the partnership, Aurum president Mike Girard will serve as president of RDP.

Mike Girard had successfully launched digital dentistry companies Nobel Procura, Brontes Technologies and Diadem Precision Technologies.

Girard said: “I am personally thrilled with this development. I feel blessed to be working with this game-changing new implant technology and with the incredibly talented team associated with this joint venture.

“Doctors, their staff and- most importantly- their patients, are sure to embrace this new implant technology that reduces office visits, eliminates cement and screw access holes while improving the overall economics.”

In addition to the collaboration, the companies have also reached agreements that facilitates limited exclusive distribution of RODO products in Canada, from this year.

It allows Aurum to service RODO’s Smileloc and Smileclip restorations for its customers, from single crown to full mouth using quality prostheses.

Also, it enables the company to address the prosthetic needs of dentists, either traditional restorations or RODO restorations, and focus on quality prosthetic solutions at low-price.

Established in 2009, RODO Medical is an advanced dental device company focused on improving the quality of life of patients and practitioners.

Its products, Smileloc, Smileclip and Smilekey, are approved by the US FDA, and received marketing clearance in Canada, Europe, and other countries.

The company claims that its SmileClip solution will close the gap between traditional denture and implant-fixed denture, while providing an affordable treatment option.

RODO Medical CEO Young Seo said: “We have been developing our innovations for over a decade. Our proprietary technologies provide solutions to many unmet needs in implant dentistry.

“As a technology company, we have been seeking a strategic partner that shares our vision to offer dentists quality treatment options at affordable prices so they can focus on patients’ long-term care and growing their practices.

“I believe this joint venture partnership with Aurum is the first big step toward making quality and innovative solutions available for millions of edentulous people who are very much in need of affordable yet quality implant denture so that they can regain their smile for life.”
